Specific Instructions
- If you wish to register as a sponsor under the Refugee Family Support Category, use the form Refugee Family Support Category Tier One Sponsor Registration (INZ 1094) or Refugee Family Support Category Tier Two Sponsor Registration (INZ 1192).
- Where this form refers to the ‘principal applicant,’ it means the person declared to be the principal applicant in the Parent Category Residence Application (INZ 1206). ‘Applicant’ means any person included in that residence application.
Completing this sponsorship form does not guarantee the approval of the residence application for the person(s) you are sponsoring. Residence applicants must meet all the requirements of the category they are applying under before they will be granted residence in New Zealand.
Sponsorship Undertakings
Suppose the residence application of the person(s) you are sponsoring is approved. In that case, it will be a condition of their visa that you, the sponsor (and the second sponsor, if applicable), will meet the sponsorship undertakings for a certain number of years after residence is granted. If you do not meet these undertakings, the visa holder may become liable for deportation. The details of the undertakings you must agree to and their duration are explained in this form.
