What is the INZ 1189 Form?
The INZ 1189 form is for individuals outside New Zealand who wish to visit for tourism or business purposes. This application suits those planning to stay in New Zealand for less than six months.
Who Can Use This Form?
To be eligible to use this form, applicants must:
- Be outside New Zealand.
- Be travelling to New Zealand for tourism or business purposes.
- Intend to stay in New Zealand for less than six months.
- Be financially supported by their funds if travelling for tourism or by their employer for business.
If these requirements are unmet, applicants should use the Visitor Visa Application (INZ 1017) form instead.
Application Guidelines
- Single Applicant or Family: This form can be used to apply for a visa for a single applicant or for a family. A family application may include the principal applicant, their partner, and dependent children under 20.
- Precise and Accurate Information: When filling out the form, write clearly in English using CAPITAL LETTERS to ensure all information is easily readable and accurate.
Financial Support
- Tourism: If you are travelling as a tourist, you must have sufficient funds to support yourself during your stay in New Zealand.
- Business: If you are travelling for business, your employer must provide financial support for your trip.
