Overview of the INZ 1256 Form
The INZ 1256 form is required when another person submits the online sponsor or supporting partner form on behalf of a sponsor or supporting partner. This form ensures that the declaration is duly signed and submitted correctly.
Who Needs to Use This Form?
- Sponsors: If you are sponsoring someone, complete Sections A and B. Depending on who is submitting the form for you, you also need to complete Section C or D.
- Supporting Partners: If you are supporting a partner’s visa application, you must complete Section B and either Section C or D. If you are also acting as a sponsor, you must complete the relevant sections as required.
Sections to be Completed
- Section A: Basic information and declaration by the sponsor.
- Section B: Declaration by the sponsor or supporting partner.
- Section C: Use this section if the person submitting the form is a licensed immigration adviser or exempt person (such as a lawyer) who will continue to act on your behalf.
- Section D: Use this section if the person submitting the form is only helping by recording your information and submitting it without acting further on your behalf.
When to Use Section C or D
- Section C: For submissions by licensed immigration advisers or exempt persons who will continue to assist you during the visa application process.
- Section D: This is for submissions by individuals who only assist with the form submission and will not act further on your behalf.
