Purpose of INZ 1268
The INZ 1268 form is required when you have completed the Sponsorship form for Temporary Entry online but have not provided the necessary financial evidence, such as bank statements, wage slips, or a letter from your employer. This form ensures that you provide the required bank financial evidence, stamped by the bank, to support your sponsorship.
Who Needs to Use This Form?
- Sponsors: If you have submitted an online Sponsorship form for Temporary Entry and need to provide additional financial evidence to demonstrate sufficient funds for the maintenance, accommodation, and return travel of the sponsored person(s) during their stay in New Zealand.
Requirements for Sponsors
You must ensure that you have:
- There are sufficient funds to maintain the sponsored person(s) for the duration of their intended stay in New Zealand.
- Sufficient funds are needed to pay for the sponsored person’s accommodation, or if you are providing accommodation directly, there is evidence that you own or have a rental agreement for the property where the sponsored person(s) will stay.
- Sufficient funds to pay for the return travel of the sponsored person(s).
- (Optional) If the sponsored person is pregnant and intends to give birth in New Zealand, Funds of at least NZ$9,000 are available to pay for the cost of maternity health services in New Zealand.
Minimum Financial Requirements
- NZ$1000 per person per month of stay if the accommodation has not been prepaid.
- NZ$400 per person per month of stay if the accommodation has been prepaid.
- NZ$9,000 per person due to giving birth while in New Zealand is not eligible for publicly funded health services.
If you are sponsoring more than one person in a single visa application, multiply the amounts above by the number of people you are sponsoring. For multiple visa applications, you must complete one form per application.
Instructions to Complete Section A
- Requestor’s Name: Ensure it matches the name on the online Sponsorship form.
- Visa Application Number: This can be found in your online Sponsorship form.
- Amount to be Verified: Include the total amount you need to meet your obligations. Ensure the bank confirms that you have at least this amount of funds available.
How to Complete the Form
- Fill out Section A with your name, visa application number, and the amount to be verified.
- Ensure the bank stamps the form to confirm the funds available.
- Upload the completed Bank Confirmation form and your Sponsorship form to the Immigration Online system.
