Since September 2024, over 130,000 applications have been reviewed and decided. INZ expects to receive over 260,000 visitor visa applications during the busy summer season
In New Zealand, the Summer season (Nov – Jan) coincides with the Christmas and New Year holiday season, which is the busiest season.
Quick Update
INZ is actively processing visitor visa applications for the 2024–2025 summer season as they are received. As per INZ Advisory, to get your Visa processed on time, we encourage all travellers to apply as early as possible. To prevent delays, ensure your application is complete and includes all required documents.
Key Points to Keep in Mind:
- Allow up to 4 weeks for visa processing.
- Applications without supporting documents or English translations may face rejection.
Visitor Visa Tips:
- Visit INZ’s visitor visa information pages to understand the criteria and requirements.
- Include supporting documents in English or attach English translations for non-English documents.
- Ensure your passport is valid for at least 3 months beyond your intended departure date from New Zealand.
Check the official INZ website for more details on immigration rules and processes or on applying for a visitor visa.
